About

LOPSA San Diego is the local chapter of LOPSA.org, an international IT administrator community. LOPSA-SD primarily serves the San Diego County area. We began as a “provisional” chapter in January 2013 and became a regular chapter in January 2014.

The purpose of LOPSA is,

To advance the practice of system administration, to support, recognize, educate and encourage its practitioners; and to serve the public through education and outreach on system administration issues.

Our mission is to foster the IT community in San Diego. We do this by presenting great and timely IT tech talks, and providing social networking opportunities. We’re all about the San Diego IT scene, and want to help bring the community together wherever we can.

We meet on the fourth Thursday of every month (except for November or December).

You can read our blog, follow us on Twitter at @lopsasandiego, join our mailing list, find us in #lopsa-sd on freenode, contribute at GitHub, or hang out in person at a Meetup.

So meet your peers, network, share information, and help cultivate the IT community in America’s Finest City!
